Ideas and inspiration from a patient advocate for Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis. Learn how to fight your disease with positive thoughts and actions. I developed JRA as an infant in the 70's. I am now 36 and have had too many surgeries, procedures and drug trials to name. If you have JRA or RA I would love to hear from you.
Vicki, I have had this surgery 3 times and out of all the surgeries I have had...too many to mention, it's not that bad. The recovery period takes less time than many other surgeries. The pain isn't nearly as bad as the pain you went through with your replacements. Those of us born with JRA are tough, so this surgery is nothing for us! Carolyn
